Overview

Langtang Valley is one of the closest high-mountain trekking regions to Kathmandu yet remains remarkably peaceful and uncrowded. Traversed by the Langtang Khola, the valley features lush sub-alpine woodlands that give way to high glacial valleys flanked by Langtang Lirung (7,227m). Highlights include visiting the centuries-old Kyanjin Gompa, sampling freshly crafted yak cheese, and climbing Kyanjin Ri or Tsergo Ri for 360-degree Himalayan vistas.

Langtang was magical. Fewer crowds than Everest, incredible mountain backdrops, and the yak cheese at Kyanjin Gompa was delicious!
